I really think it was meant to be a puff piece Flor. I know my husband prefers his mother's cooking to mine, as I prefer my own mother's cooking to his mother's cooking (and my grandmother's cooking was best of all!) It's not a source of conflict. I just rest assured in the knowledge that for my son, no one will ever be a better cook than me :)

Brit, don't joke. My husband can barely boil water (in fact he had never actually boiled water in his life till he moved in with me). The most I can get him to do is chop onions or peel potatoes.
