When I bought 2 units last year, I made sure I had the warranty cards sent out, the (official) receipt copy and all the contact details I would need if I have issues.
So far, its performing to our expectations.
Sometimes, its a matter or persistence and courtesy.
I'm persistent but always courteous...and remind them of their appointment...
