Dear girl ,
Who is posting that she is a Qatari and then saying that she is an expat,
Thanks for the heart felt congratulations!
But you should be careful of what you say about people whom you don't really know!
After all, we just found out that you are not what you said you were!
All the rest of the people who did not agree with my point of view: What would you have said if the roles were reversed and it was your country and the expats were bashing your government for improving the status of the citizens?
I just wonder!
The other point is that we all know what happened in the region few decades ago and where the wealth of the Arab region went and how the locals were treated! I don't like to turn the old pages but people seem to forget the past and judge the present as they see fit!
The Country needed experience from outside and got it to help improve the status and that does not mean that we deny there was help from expats but this help was offered in exchange for money! It was not given for FREE!
There is one thing that I am sure of: There were people who were happy for us and there were people who were absolutely jealous!
I am happy to announce though that our office is getting the raise as well contrary to former speculations and I would be glad to invite miss Candylicious to dinner to make sure who is the Qatari, just to set her records straight!
Have to say bye for now because it was a long day of meetings with friends, phone chats and long coffee breaks which made me soooo tired!
