Do you realize that the Royal Family, who I much respect for their vision of Qatars' progress, is pushing Qatar into the Eyes of the World and that there is just not enough of you locals to do the jobs? You PAY us and IMPORT us because you NEED us and we are the ones who are guaranteed to get the jobs DONE!!! Maybe you want to use your countrymen to build all those new stadiums, roads and hotels for 2022? Oh how I would LOVE to see that happening!!!
Do you think the Royal Family does not know that none of you would do the job of a labourer, construction worker, janitor, housemaid, gardener amongst another hundred or even thousand of other job descriptions?
Why do you think you have the 'sponsorship system', the 'We Own You' mentality and the laws to implement it and CLING ON TO YOUR SO IGNORANT WORKFORCE???? Because at the first chance most of your employees, who you so want rid off, would do a RUNNER!!!
Do you think we are here because we HAVE to? So many of us could be anywhere else in the World, but we chose Qatar as it is one of the countries we did not experience yet!!! I have spent 13 years in Germany, 2 years in Malaysia, Philippines, UK respectively, 4 years in Abu Dhabi and 3 years in Qatar. I could up and leave tomorrow onto a new job if I wanted to. I am qualified as a translator in 4 languages and am an accountant too. I trained 2 years intensively as a nursery teacher because I wanted a change. And I tell you what: I clean my own toilets DAILY and am proud of it.
You know why? I know what I'm worth, I earn my money with pride and I know what I do. I go to work to work, not to drink cups of tea and gossip. I go home with a feeling of satisfaction for another successful day. And guess what: I EARN (deserve) my salary, every Riyal of it!!!
