I believe Gulf Times should employ a proof reader, period. You don't need to be a Muslim to know that such text in a well-known newspaper is not only improper in Ramadan, but also improper in the Arab world in general. I believe it is the common, good old copy-and-paste mistake, where they copied this recipe from a Western magazine or newspaper and blindly pasted it in their newspaper.

Anyways, I find it a bit funny, especially in Ramadan ... very paradoxic :)
