a) It is One thousand four hundred and forty two years pre hijri and not thousands of years.
b) The statements/orders of prophet Muhammad (p&buh) are never out of time or out dated as they are direct orders from Allah az zougal and He (Allah) beyond any doubt knew and know of today and times to come.
If one believes otherwise, it can invalidate ones iman so please be extra careful on the point b
