I have noticed an increase in hidden radars over the last 6 months. Occasionally you would have one set up at the side of the road, but it was very infrequent. I have seen them all over the place now. Salwa road (past IA) has an unmarked Prado that sets up a camera mounted on the windshield insde the car. He likes to park in random spots along side of the road (to look as if broken down) and catches all the speeders.
I have also noticed depolyable radar boxes that they have been hiding on Al Waab. They place these on the opposite side of the bus stops, where your view is obstructed until you drive past. These have been getting set up frequently.
I really dont want to debate on should / shouldnt be speeding, but I am interested to hear what has caused the apparent crack-down. Is it money driven or are they actually trying to enforce traffic laws for once?
