Any roundabout after 8pm is a death trap with the way people drive at night here. I keep telling people that driving here is an arms race in which weight and power are everything. If other drivers are in small SUVs, get a big one; if they up to a Land Cruiser, get a Suburban; if they up to a Suburban, get a cement truck.
Sure it is environmentally unfriendly and totally unnecessary, but there is no way I am putting my kids in anything that weights less than an elephant in a country whose leading cause of death is auto accidents (19% of all death last year and a dozen or more times that of the US or UK).
