I don't understand why everyone is so upset about this issue. You decide to go and live in another country by your own free will, so it makes sense that you try to respect the codes of that country. It seems that some Westerners here in Qatar (I can say this since I am one myself) forget where they live and want to behave exactly like they do back home. Well, you're not back home and it is not the end of the world to have to wear long trousers.
