Thank you for the info Anadoms,
cdpascal: I've used both Nikons and Canons. Both are great brands. No one can put one down over the other. Your problem is the lens you use. Try to get a good quality lens or a prime which is much cheaper than quality zooms. What you have is a gear that many people dream to have. Why do you say you cannot find subjects? Go to the beach. Go to a park, Go to the zoo - you don't have to do all these you can find enough subjects in your backyard. in your bedroom.. If you are really worried about this, tell me, I will try to find a nice tutorial that could help you.
Your gear is one of the best. Don't let it go unless your're planning a full frame upgrade. And time will teach you all the features of your camera and how/when to use them. For now concentrate only on one or a few features you're comfortable with. Explore the next when you feel good to go. Practice will make you better.
