Algeria: A wave of rioting last week in Algeria ended when the government reversed food price rises… rioting done…for now. Egypt: We all heard about the sad news from Alexandria on New Years eve. The Coptic Church that was bombed, while Christian Egyptians prayed shook the world.
Sudan: Omar Bashir, a man who came to power with a coup, who ruled very… disturbingly… is now dividing what is not rightfully his. The referendum that is aimed in dividing Sudan into Southern and Northern states was put into effect earlier this week. Thousands of southerners flocked to the polls, all hoping to vote for independence and freedom from the “Muslim Northern State”.
