I look at it like this. I live here, take the tax free salary, big house, no bills, no petrol bills etc etc. I feel warmly towards Qatar, it is my home. I love the fact that Qatar is a small country undergoing unprecedented change and I am glad to be a part of it and want to support them. I attended the opening of the Asian Games in 2006, the opening of the Asian Cup in 2011 and in between have been able to see international football and tennis for practically free.
I can honestly say that if I didn't feel some love and loyalty to this place I would leave. And actually, I did see someone get slashed with a broken bottle in Fulham in 1999, the guy died later in hospital.
