After all, it does allow you a lot of control over who comes in and what they do when they are here. That's not all bad in my opinion. I also think you should be looking at what is best for Qataris and not worrying about us ex-pats. At least that is what I would want my country to do for its citizens.
One key area that could be addressed would be an easier solution to changing sponsors so that the country doesn't lose valuable employees who want to shift their employer. Other than that, I don't have too many complaints. But then, I have an excellent sponsor ;)
