@foryousantro...

I am not doing any publicity.. all i meant to say was u monitor them for sometime and see if they are making any efforts to keep the pets they sell healthy and safe..

@Oryx

I completely agree with you.. but there is another side to this world too..

these are captive birds and will not survive in the wild. not that they will never learn to survive they would in a long run... but in the mean time they have predators from all directions.. if we set these birds free they would eventually die in a few months.. and some of these beautiful birds will become extinct and our kids / grand kids will never get to know them.. Now that there is a market for these birds.. why not give them a safe enviornment.. and many of these birds even in the wild has shown interest in socializing with humans.. we are invading their lands (more forests are destroyed for human living in some of the developing countries) and hence their natural wild life is also affected .. hence they make efforts to co exist with us.. and I am trying the same thing..

I am not trying to justify what we do.. but given everything.. i am do the best i can do.. and so are many animal lovers around the world.. I enjoy watching my birds play in their play pens as much as waiting for the birds to show up in the nature.. but the thought of leaving these birds alone in the wild where they will be lost and scared is just not bearable..

my birds wait for me to come home everyday from work.. when i travel and come back they show so much joy to see me again... what if they are left alone in the wild.. won't they be thinking that I would be coming around to give them a toy to play and sing along??
