(because I didn't know them either, except for Mirza, and I hardly think she is a "great" yet) and they are clearly outstanding in their fields. It's just that chess, badminton and a wrestling coach are not the kind of sports that the media jumps on and promotes. Maybe this is why they are not so well known outside of India or Asia. A lot has to do with the kind of media promotion they get and how widely watched their sport is.
