until you did not get that paper stating denial of your application, you can keep hoping. But just a word of advise, call them after 1:30pm and follow up your application and dont wait for the barcode number to appear in the website. in my case, i was told the same when i sent an email, but i persisted, i made a call then immediately the next day my passport with visa was released. i was able to fly to US in time to catch my family's vacation in Florida :)
