I am interested in seeing what would happen should Qatar host the WC, unlike with local media, if it is disastrous they won't be able to cover it up and all the money they spent to promote Qatar will have gone to waste.

Over here in the UK I'm seeing loads of fans drunk, couples kissing, etc, and it reminded me of that story of that teen who stopped the cop from performing his duties and arresting that couple kissing. Whether one agrees with it or not is not really the issue, my concern is the clash of the cultures will come head on if Qatar wins the bid. This could be a good thing and result in more changes either prior to the WC in order to keep Qatar 'in tune' with what's acceptable abroad, or changes during the event itself.

As for quality of the WC in Qatar I honestly don't know what they have in mind ,but if the current state of organizing events in Qatar is a reliable indicator of what to expect, then their will be some major problems for everyone involved, fans and Qatar alike.
