Same sort of things happened in Sri Lanka after the tsunami,though probably much less reported and covered up. Also, within the year after the tsunami the number of married women who became pregnant was incredible.After it stared happening I did read some interesting reports from psychologists and psychiatrists as to WHY these things happen after a major disaster.
