No other reason, but everyone is in hurry because of Eid. We went to see Dr. Rizwi, but we were told that she is not taking any new cases due to her plans for Hajj. We were given an other doctor's appointment and she insisted we go for her proposed elective date. We agreed uncomfortably and planned it for next week. However, when we came back, did some internet searches and almost all credible sources were discouraging to go for it. Spoke to our relation in States (a doctor) and he mentioned that it is the stated position of thousands of the members of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology to not perform any elective surgery even a single day before 39 weeks until there is an emergency. Have two previous C-sections does not justify an early C-section.
1- Our first child was born full time outside Qatar - c-section.
2- Second child was born in Qatar at Hammad. Though Dr. Rizwi did not perform surgery, she waited almost 41 weeks before she recommended c-section. Child is very healthy and we thank Dr. Rizwi for her expert opinion. This time we could not reach her. Any contact info for her would be highly appreciated?
ONE QUESTION:
We called the subject doctor (NR) at Al-Ahli and requested her to cancel. She did cancel but said no hospital will accept us at 39 week for c-section. To me it’s like harassment. Is it true? Is it my way or the highway?
Any other good doctor at Al-Ahli or Hamad? We are not going for c-section until its 39 weeks (Nov. 26) or God forbit it’s an emergency before that. Any doctor recommendation? Will someone else take us at Al-Ahli or are they all going to stick to each other's opinion?
