As I observed, majority, if not all of Qatari owned companies here are being run by...sorry...Indians. Some are by Lebanese or Egyptians. And look, they really apply pressure to their subordinates to work hard (12hrs or more) even on holidays without getting overtime pay. Yeah, right it's because Im being paid FFOT. But, hey, if we're going to read the Labor Law, its really good eh. Too good to be true. It really sucks to work 12hrs during Ramadan period without OT. Worse, companies are sending out memoranda signed by GMs saying their people should work only 6hrs during that period and the succeeding number of hours will be charged overtime. But sorry, it's only in the paper. To avoid of being attacked by my own heart... hehehe.. Im just contenting myself of what I've signed while waiting for another 'promise' of HUGE increment come January. BTW, those who worked 7yrs in my company got QR50 increase last year.
