facinating thing is... they only report the ones that are actually solved... you never hear about all the break-ins here that do occur, like poor Novita - who was made to feel like she herself was involved in robbing her own house...
In any country, where there is unemployment, there will be crime - its been in Qatar alot longer than most people would care to admit.
Infact, case in point.... here in Doha, 2 of my friends had mobiles stolen off them - one in the souq and one on the day of the fire at QAWS - while he was helping catching the cats that survived - he put his mobile on a makeshift table we were using - we were all mulling around the area, but when he came back his phone was gone - and turned off when we tried to ring it... - Qatar is crime free? Think again.
"if you don't like the heat... get out of the kitchen... but stop trying to fan the flames before you leave... it will burn you on the a** as you go through the doorway...." ME
