Just to answer your question. When we hire maids, we make sure to call her family back home and to reassure them that heir daughter/wife/mother is in good hands. Her family trusted us to take good care of her until she went back home. Do you do that? Do you even know how many kids your maid has, or how old they are, or what their names are? I'm sure you don't care. Since she is in my house, I set the rules. She follows them and they are not negotiable. Its simple, really.

If I let the maid do as she pleased without supervision or guidance, that would be an animal treatment. You as a human being need someone to care for you and help you.
