Firstly... religion n faith is personal thing...
faith as you mentioned before .. is not dependent on logic or reasoning....

To give you an example...

I feel.. no I know... MY DAD IS THE BEST DAD EVER BORN ON THIS PLANET... I am so damn lucky to be born to him and my MOM...

But to my utter surprise... almost everyone feels tht way.
Tht they are born to the best dad in the world... n best mom was given to them....

Now let us come to the rational side of the discussion....

Concept of one god... exists in all religion

and it is true.. there cannot be multiple Ultimates...
it has to be only one....

TO brush away concepts you wanna mention like Multiple gods....

In Hinduism... Multiple Gods are nothing but Reincarnations of the Ultimate...

It is the same god who had come on this planet in diff forms in diff times....

It is the same god... who is prayed in diff names n genders for diff needs

there is god of Food
God of Wisdom
God of Money
God of Health etc etc etc

Same god... but in diff names...

and one prays to a particular God for particular human need.

this is preliminary stage of being religious... as you grow higher n higher in your spiritual seeking...

One appreciates the true essence ...

Like I said before....

If someone says I can do this - we call it Confidence.

If he says Only I can do this - we call it over confidence.... which is more dangerous for the beholder.

When someone judges the entity they don belong to....
or others...

we see wht they have done and judge them

but when we judge overselves... we don see wht we ahve done but wht can be and appreciate ourselves...

thts jus how human brain functions....
