FS...i know what you mean. Most of us have been brainwashed since our childhood days, hence the idea of a relationship with God without religion is somewhat "awkward" to most people.
It's called DEISM...belief in God as a Supreme Being without religion. It's basically using your reasoning and belief in God. Reasoning wasn't taught in the books...it was learned. And there is no HELL or whatchamacallit...it was used by religion as a means of getting their believers to believe and put their trust on religion.
