Erica, it's ok for you to have your friend share your apartment. BUT...
if the apartment in question is provided by your/your husband's employer/company, it's not possible. But if you're the one renting it, it would just look like you're flat-sharing or just subletting a room.
Like I said, it's a common practice nowadays as the rent are still absurdly high. I'm sharing a 6-room villa with 5 other families and before, I did share a flat once with a American/Chinese couple.
