Arabic people greet each other like this way and we just do it in the English version:
Arabic: Salam Alaykum; ke falik(to men)/falak(to ladies)? English: Hello/Hi/Good Morning, etc. How are you?(whatever you wanna use for greetings)
Response usually goes like this: Arabic: Zen/Damman, Alhamdulilah. Wa anta? English: I'm good/fine (etc), Thanks to ALLAH/GOD! And how are you?
As you see, Qataris (also called "the locals") and other Arabic race are known for their courtesy and respect for others just like the rest of us. The only thing that creates issues/concerns is "LANGUAGE BARRIERS" which was discussed in the main forum time and time again.
Bottomline: COURTESY back to the people who DESERVES IT.
