Kudos to Qatar for allowing this man to come here and speak. As Diamond said, a chance to have an open dialogue, to both question others holding different points of view and explain one's own point of view.

Is this really any different that Ahmedinejad being invited to speak at Columbia University in 2007?

To the others:
Why should everyone else have to follow YOUR rules that were made for BELIEVERS of your religion?

There's a difference between removing your shoes or covering your hair when you enter a mosque and demanding that nobody draw a picture of your prophet or joke about him in any way.
The former is an example of respectful behavior, and the latter is an unrealistic expectation of submission.

Catholics don't demand that others not use birth control. Jews don't demand that others avoid referring to God by name. Hindus don't demand that others not eat beef.
Those rules are for them to follow because they believe in them.
