I'm in Qatar for more than 2 years now...and I am really astonished of the big number of "butterballs" here and the fatties on the way to obesity..I couldn't imagine that police women here could be so fat (eg Al Rayah Driving School), they don't have strictly rules in selecting them in army/police forces?!!
Anyway...talking ab the alarm on child obesity I definitely find the parents responsible for their kids obesity and the disabilities resulting from...read a lot ab medical campaigns/alarming facts on Qatari newspapers (some links under) so I believe parents HAVE TO BE aware of the danger (excepting the mother with her two fatty boys from Intercon-swimming pool on Friday who ordered huge hamburgers for them and who was pouring ketchup on their fried potatoes:-(
Sad but true, schools are offering junk food here: in Am.Ac.School-the kindergarten(!!!)they are coming with chips at break time, at QIS on Thursdays they are selling ice-cream..why not some yogurt?! My opinion...
