And Eating Non-veg (cow too) was never recommended in hindu religion as the country is abundantly filled with Vegitation which can feed not only humans but also the herbivorous animals habitating the land...

I was very curious to know how killing animal can be acceptable in a religion...
Pls do not mis-understand me.. I was born n brought up in Hindu Society where it is not banned but preferable avoided...

Then I read Khalil Gibral's "the Prophet"
He mentiones when you eat a bird or a animal - It should be with a feeling
