With all due respect to their hard-work against meagre salary packages, so far I never saw any Filipino/Filipina who speaks with their "Kabayan" in English if any non-Tagalog guy is there !!
I have worked in other GCC nations too before Qatar & found everywhere same very bad habit, specially on phone... if the other side is also of same accent.. they just ask "Kabayaan??" & then they just start talking & do not care if somebody is around them... such conversation may be a headache to other persons... but who cares !!
Professionalism is, irrespective of our nationalities, we should speak in common language which others around us could be able to understand.
You can also see in Questions & Answers section.. & many other sections of QL... Filipinos start their Questions/ads with "KABAYAN Only".... "PINOY Only"...

Regarding insults.. ego problems...specially in the third world Country people... I know one simplest formula in Gulf Countries... If you are really that "Egoist"... then if anybody is misbehaving with you, just give him/her a most befitting reply without giving any value to his/her skin-color.. and always get ready to leave the job...

Otherwise, just shut your mouth.. & keep on earning money to feed your family...'coz there is nothing much in our Countries... we can fulfill all our dreams in a few years here, which is very difficult if we go back home !!
