I also agree with penny with respect to the fact that we should not expect to live in a sterile bubble. It is amazing to me how much the media affects our perceptions.
According to the media, we should be shivering with fear because of all the Dangerous And Horrible Germs That Will Hurt You And You Children.
We obviously want to avoid infected meat and whatnot, but the obsession with everything being sterile is truly over the top.
