However, I will tell you that we have various schools that come down to the shelter for field trips. Yesterday i had a teacher tell me about her first day at this particular school where she found a group of kids kicking a kitten around. Now these same kids are the ones visiting us at the shelter, and with the guidance we have been giving them, she says that they are now the ones educating the rest of the school with regards to the correct way to treat animals.That is change:-) and we will get there, one person, one school, at a time.

These kids come down and have a favourite dog or cat, they cannot wait to see, and when they deal with them, you can see that now they understand. It won't be an overnight change, but we will get there.
