Newa report staes that "eateries" (I love the Hinglish in the local english language press, sleuths, nabbed etc. etc.)are going to be barred from residential areas but will be ok in Malls etc. This looks like a policy emerging to concentrate all retailing and food services in estabished commercial centres with consequent concentration of services in high rent buildings to someone's anvantage other than the consumers. I worked near the Sheraton for 3 years, the nearest place to buy a newspaper, cigarettes, sandwich or anything else was the City Centre. So much so that it became impossible to visit the place at any time of day without a lengthy search for a parking place, and of course the majority of the Towers aren't even open yet. Such policies concentrating services together add towards the congestion which is threatening to choke the Commercial and social life of the city. Is Garveys another victim of such a concentration policy?
