David Banner calling others PIG really hurt my feelings even I am not Indian nor Philipino. But sure he should have not used such words.
I do agree with certain points David and others raised. I personally had experienced and listened from my fellow friends and relatives most of the points raised in this forum. Some of the points that are true from my knowledge/erperience are:
1- Its very much true that in most Oil and Gas companies so called mafia exist and on so many occations they got caught and action was taken but still its thriving. Sure it doesnot come in newspapers but its very true. If you have anyone working there sure you can ask them.
2- CV are sabotaged in so many organization and every one know's that. So many times the reason behind that is not that management want to cut cost or want to hire cheap labour but infact its those narrow minded people in the society like in all societies who are very racist.
3- I wanted to tell my own experience also. I dont want to name the person or the company but just coz of racism someone (person Y) in a reputed organization was not allowing me to reach there higher management (person X). I called tens of times and left messages and dropped notes but was unable to meet the person X who I had commited to deliver some information. I started visiting the office to reach person X but I use to get replies that X person is in meeting, out of country and out of office blablabla. By chance once I went and that paticular person Y (racist) was out and I went straight to person X and explained him that I tried to reach you from more then 2 months and he got shocked. He said I never got your msgs and never got any notes. He called person Y immediately and asked the reason but he had no explaination. Person X appologized instead of person Y and even me I felt really upset for the bahaviour of person Y. Good that this person X was nice enough not to fire person Y. I got so upset I avoided going there. Some narrow minded people still believe and practice racism.
I appologize if my post hearts any QLers but I do believe facts should not be hidden. The only thing I believe is to be positive and be careful in our daily life.
