One of the reason for this kind of behaviour is coz they have plenty of students coming in to take admissions and less seats available. So they are happy to send someone home back. All the schools are having very rude behaviour with kids parents. I am really sorry to read about your experience. I hope ministry of Education steps in to fix the issue.
