I visited it, satisfied my curiosity and of course I was pleased to see that there are quite many things local made which I didn't know excepting the big names on the market. I noticed some:
-industrial producers: Qapco, Qatalum, Qatargas ( I understood they offered the sponsorship of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s “Made in Qatar”) and so...
-products and services: Qatar Fertilizer, Qatar Detergents Co, food and agricultural manufacturers, plastic/rubber/marble/steel/cooling equipments manufacturers and so...I was impressed of some metal products as gates, doors, handrails&balustrades all very nice decorated!!
-miscellaneous: Qatar Foundation, Qatar General Org.for Standards&Metrology, some Embassies were present there...
-crafts&gifts small stands, selling Arabian perfumes, abayas&some other clothes, hand made souvenirs ( different dimensions and very nice dhows!), wedding & parties stuff, shiny and colorful, as we know...
Enterprises created with participation of foreign investors from such countries as Belgium, Germany and so have been presenting in the exhibition.
Clean, well arranged, a lot of brochures and presentation panels, business style - at first sight! Not to forget the coffee shops for break time. Hope the Exhibition created awareness on "Made in Qatar" products and will further bring Qatari producers and businesspeople together with their foreign counterparts, in a bid to boost their ties. As a normal visitor I think these were the main targets...
