Within 1 month I will order all the parts for my new build based on the X58 (as everybody knows ).
I have the case -Thanks Dubai-,and peripherals (HDD,burners,...) can be purchased locally at a reasonable price.
The core components:
-EVGA X58
-Intel Core i7 920
-EVGA GTX260 216 (still not decided which version)or maybe GTX280 after GTX290 release.
But the issue is the PSU,I know I need a high-end one to power such a unit.
I searched yesterday in Sofitel area and I've found only these:
As you can see, they are totally overpriced but I have no other choice, though on Amazon I can get them for half the price, but they all weight above 7 pounds, which means around 400Dhs more for shipping.
My mistake was not to purchase the PSU along with the case while in Computer Plaza in Dubai,I forgot about the weight thing.
A funny guy is working at Tornado Computers, when I asked him about the warranty he told me 3 months only and he even don't know that the GTX260 and 280 require different pins!
I don't think that Gigabyte would be glad to hear this from their representative in Qatar.
Anyway,what's your advice?
