Thanks Iain, I went there this past weekend to Ras Rakken and walked accross. deepest water I found was about 2' maybe. (low tide) saw a flock of 30 or so flamingos. also saw a guy drive from the island pulling a camping trailor with a tv dish. go figure. there is also a well worn suv trail and plenty of trash. Is there anywhere in qatar that you can go camping and not be woried about getting ran over in your sleep by the dune bashers and 4X4's?
