If I’m seen as a racist (I’ve never been called one before becoming a member on QL) than so be it, as this is not my intention. My intention is to help the plight of all the victims of countries (not just Qatar) as the world is such an injustice place and the only way to too deal with this is fight, which unfortunately includes bumping heads with people as their pride gets in the way.
One thing that always offends me are people (especially the “police watch dogs”) who find it “natural” and normal for people to be treated in such a malicious way. The reason being is that YOUR not walking in their shoes and have not had to put up with the humiliation of being one of them; that is of an Asian, African decent so who are you to judge and comment on these issues?? If you haven’t been the victim of racism before how can you judge and agree with such laws that prevent people such a simple pleasure from going into a mall or the corniche?
Boycott these malls – all they produce is a materialist world which at the end does not bring happiness. By boycotting them and making a stance is saying, hell we won’t put up with this type of discrimination anymore.
Before you “police watch dogs” carry on about how this goes on in the west and the west is not perfect blah blah I KNOW IT ISNT and yes EVERY country has is problems but this site is called QATAR LIVING…..not FINLAND LIVING or INDIA LIVING – so for the naïve that is why we discuss Qatar *sighs*
The saddest part when I am visiting Qatar is seeing those poor chaps cower when they see me a westerner – like a beaten down dog. I feel sick to the bone when I see this happen as I am no better them than, so why do they feel this way?? Discrimination!!
BOYCOTT these places, write letters to the papers, and say enough is enough. Do I really want to be living in a country where so much human misery exists?
