I support the idea of fasting, but then it should be done properly, not just during the day, and then all hell breaks loose at night.

If we as Christians fast we do have some special times to do this, but if we want to pray for something special at any other time, like praying for a miracle, we fast to show God that we really mean what we say, then we cut out whatever it is that would be "special to us" might be chocolate, or ciggies, or whatever for a period of time, but yes, to put one special month aside to do good things, then don't give a damn for the rest of the year, doesn't make any sense.
