I find it strange that people comment on the expats saying they don’t respect Qataris and don’t make an effort. Why in other Arab countries such as Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan do westerners get along so well with the locals? Why do we never hear stories such as these? I’ve lived in these countries for years and have seen with my own eyes how they make you feel welcome in their country and you get to experience real Arab hospitality. There’s none of this “you don’t respect our culture blah blah” – people respect each other for who they are without all this arrogant nonsense.
