We've been members for about 2 1/2 years. Our only complaint is that when we joined back then, it was 5000 QR a year, and now it is 10,000 a year!!! Horrible! Particularly because you need to pay the entire amount up front. But, we realize that if we wanted to move to a compound with a pool and/or gym we would pay that much MORE a MONTH... (we're in a flat now)
Kids love the indoor pool so we go often. One concern though is that there are very strict womens hours. Occasionally we want to go to the indoor pool with my husband, but 3 times a week he cannot go! They alternate days with the gym and the pool attached to the gym are women only on Sun, Tues, Thurs... If one gym is for women only, the other is "mixed" so men can always go to a gym if not always the indoor pool (outdoor pool is always mixed).
Staff is very nice, although policies are often changing and the staff is not always kept up to date so I sometimes get frustrated with the inconsistancy when they suddenly switch a policy without notifying us. But, that's life in Doha, isn't it?
