what do you classify as 'elderly' ... only asking because if she is a fit and healthy, say 60 something for example and OK to travel about without a zimmer frame,then why not just get her a multiple entry visa (£250).

As to medical cover .. no idea, except that you could probably arrange that privately or just take her to a local hospital/doctor if the need arose? I think the cost of private medicine here may be a lot less than in UK so if you are earning the dosh it shouldn't be a problem (unless she has medical needs you haven't mentioned).
