KSA is right, Al Maha is great. The bottom line is that it is illegal, if the wrong person calls the police, you will be deported. It has happened to one person I know, but it was more down to having already offended someone. and it is so unlikely, for the one person I know who had a problem, I know at least 10 people who cohabit all the time. The authorities are not too bothered about it, but if a high up member of the community complained, they would act on it. You'll be fine, don't worry, the risk is so minimal it's not worth worrying about. Don't hold hands in public places though, my friend got a BIG telling off the other day!
