Ben Qatar, I believe I have seen you many times while driving. You let in me front of you even though I'm driving an old car. You opened the door for others at the mall. You smiled as you walked along with your child. Yes, there are some very kind Qatari's.

Here are two things that make you think we are afraid of you:

(1) We don't KNOW you. We work at our jobs for long hours and go home. We don't work with any Qataris. We don't have a chance to mingle with any Qataris. We must avoid what we don't know from fear.

(2) We hear the stories from friends of how, during heated moments on the road, a Qatari writes down the plate number of a car. Then he files a complaint with the police and the road battle then becomes a legal affair with fines and such for the expat. So, yes, we are "afraid" that this may happen to us.
