I think it's impossible to say that it would never happen to you. I would never have imagined it would happen to me. I started off feeling angry and tried to go through the proper channels but the drip drip of being undermined and generally being made to feel that it was my fault, left me a nervous wreck. Then people stop listening to you because they think you are just over emotional, by which time you are.

This guy was sacked shortly after I left but was sent away with a glowing reference only to get an even more powerful position in another organisation.
