I would miss Qatar in much the same way as I missed living in Jeddah and Iraq because I LOVE to live in places which are so totally different to Europe! It's great to be in a 'growing' culture and the country and people around the place are, to me, exciting and colourful to mix with.
Most of all I would miss the people I have met through QL because there's just no WAY back in the UK would I (a lady of a certain age) have the opportunity to join in with the variety of age groups I meet here and am accepted into! You are all wonderful, generous people.
Oh, and when I go to the swimming pool I just KNOW I would hate to live in a cold climate for the rest of my days - but what to do!?

You have a sewing machine? I still have some bright, lovely Batik material I bought in Barbados about 30 years ago! - wanna help me make a kaftan out of it? I can see it's simple to do, but that word 'facing' scares the living daylights out of me! lol
