they are not rare breeds (i dont even know what breed actually) but they do not look like street cats.

the chip does not track the location, it is just scanned by a universal scanner when leaving the country or selling the pet at a pet store (should the pet store be ethical).

i read online and it seems its quite complicated to remove the chip, only a vet could do the surgery for that.
