No, definately not......the World's Local Bank is their logo.......in their dreams!


I went to Dubai just after I opened my account. They blocked my card because I hadn't told them I was travelling. On my return to Doha I spoke to them, asked for the card to be reactivated and then found out a few days later my Account (not just the card) was blocked. I only found out because my employer couldn't pay my salary!


It took HSBC 10 days to unblock both the card and Account....at no time did they inform me what was happening.


I was on vacation in Amsterdam, card wasn't accepted in any of the ATM's, when I tried to contact HSBC Qatar 24 hour help line, I was continually put through to Dubai where they told me they couldn't help as I didn't hold an account in UAE! The "World's Local Bank" did even have a branch in Holland that I could vist, the only one they have is for Business Banking. The "Help Desk" suggested I drive to Germany or the "local" branch there!


Shocking service so I moved to Al Kaliji, no online banking (yet) but excellent customer service.
