it ferments.  I know!  (and I know you know I know you know lol)

I had a jar of maraschino cherries in my cupboard in Jeddah and forgot they were there - BOY were they Cherry Brandy when I found them a few months later !!!!

I threw the jar and it's contents away - I'm sure to eat/drink them would have 'done for us' lol
